Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum
Located in Al Dhaid City in Sharjah’s Central Region, near Souq Sharia’t Al Dhaid, the Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum offers an interactive introduction to the biodiversity, ecosystems, and natural heritage of the Arabian Desert. Officially inaugurated at its new location in February 2026, the museum combines scientific information with cultural storytelling to explore how plants and animals adapt to the region’s harsh desert environment.
The museum features specialised halls dedicated to the desert environment, plants, insects, desert animals, and birds. Exhibits include endangered species, preserved specimens, interactive digital displays, educational models, and a virtual reality experience focused on the camel spider. Visitors can also explore information about desert geology, sand dunes, traditional desert life, native plants, migratory birds, and the ecological importance of biodiversity.
A dedicated Children’s Hall provides hands-on activities such as exploration, games, colouring, and drawing, making the museum particularly suitable for families and school groups. The museum also includes book halls with environmental publications and digital resources, as well as facilities supporting scientific research and environmental education.
