Dubai Water Canal

Dubai Water Canal is a 3.2-kilometre waterway extending from Dubai Creek through Business Bay and toward the Arabian Gulf. Beyond its role as part of Dubai’s waterfront infrastructure, the canal has become a popular leisure destination, with landscaped promenades, pedestrian bridges, cycling and jogging paths, waterfront seating and views of the city’s skyline.

The canal is well suited to walking and outdoor recreation, particularly during the cooler months. Visitors can follow the pedestrian paths along the water, cross the canal using its distinctive bridges and enjoy views of Business Bay and the surrounding skyline. The waterfront also connects with several nearby neighbourhoods and attractions, making it possible to combine a canal walk with dining or other activities.

Water-based experiences are another way to explore the canal. RTA operates marine transport and sightseeing services on sections of the waterway, including abra and round-trip services. Current RTA information lists canal routes and sightseeing trips, although individual services and schedules can change.
