Saleh Souq, Ajman

Saleh Souq is one of Ajman’s traditional markets and an important part of the emirate’s cultural and commercial heritage. Established in the 1950s, the souq retains its traditional architectural character, with shaded walkways, timber structures and features inspired by traditional Emirati design. It is located in the Al Nakheel district, directly opposite Ajman Museum.

The market is particularly known for traditional tailoring and textiles. Visitors can browse shops selling Emirati clothing, Moroccan caftans, fabrics, perfumes, carpets and other traditional products, while many shops also provide tailoring services. The souq combines everyday local commerce with a heritage atmosphere, making it a useful stop for visitors interested in experiencing a traditional Ajman marketplace.

Saleh Souq also forms part of Ajman’s heritage route connecting the Corniche area with Ajman Museum. Its location within the wider Heritage District makes it convenient to visit together with several of Ajman’s other cultural attractions. Opening hours vary between individual shops.
