Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Dubai

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is one of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks, known for its distinctive sail-shaped architecture and location on a private island off Jumeirah Beach. The 321-metre hotel has operated since 1999 and contains 198 suites, combining luxury accommodation with restaurants, leisure facilities and Arabian Gulf views.

Visitors do not need to stay at the hotel to experience some of its attractions. Inside Burj Al Arab offers guided tours of the hotel’s interiors, including the atrium and the Royal Suite. Other experiences include dining at restaurants such as the Michelin-starred Al Muntaha, Ristorante L’Olivo at Al Mahara and SAL, as well as afternoon tea at Skyview Lounge.

The hotel’s The Terrace is a 10,000-square-metre outdoor leisure area featuring two temperature-controlled pools, cabanas, a private beach area and SAL Restaurant. Burj Al Arab is also currently undergoing a phased restoration programme announced in April 2026, planned to last approximately 18 months while preserving and enhancing its interiors.
