Masfout Museum, Ajman
Masfout Museum is a heritage museum dedicated to the history and cultural identity of Masfout, a mountainous area of Ajman surrounded by the Hajar Mountains. The museum presents the history of the area through a timeline stretching from approximately 5,000 BC through the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages and eventually to the formation of the United Arab Emirates.
The museum is housed in a traditional structure consisting of an open square courtyard, 12 rooms and two towers. Its collection includes archaeological discoveries, photographs, historical objects, antiques, documents and manuscripts that illustrate the development of Masfout and the communities that lived in the region.
Located within the Masfout area, the museum can be combined with nearby heritage attractions such as Masfout Castle. Its location also makes it a useful cultural stop for visitors exploring the Hajar Mountains and the wider Masfout region. Masfout is approximately a 90-minute drive from Ajman city.
