Saruq Al-Hadid Museum, Dubai

Located in the historic Al Shindagha area of Dubai, Saruq Al-Hadid Museum explores the history of one of the UAE’s most important archaeological sites. The museum showcases artefacts discovered at Saruq Al-Hadid, an ancient desert site that was an important centre for metalworking and human activity during the Iron Age more than 3,000 years ago.

The museum’s collection includes archaeological discoveries such as tools, weapons, pottery, bronze objects, jewellery, beads, and other artefacts recovered from the Saruq Al-Hadid site. Interactive and immersive displays help visitors understand the people who lived and worked in the region and the advanced metalworking skills developed in ancient Arabia.

The museum is housed within a traditional Emirati heritage building in Al Shindagha, allowing visitors to combine an archaeological experience with an exploration of one of Dubai’s historic neighbourhoods. Its exhibitions use modern display and interactive technologies to bring archaeological discoveries to life and provide context about the UAE’s ancient history.

Saruq Al-Hadid Museum is particularly suitable for visitors interested in archaeology, history, Emirati heritage, and the ancient cultures of the Arabian Peninsula.
