Bait Al Naboodah Museum, Sharjah

Bait Al Naboodah is a historic Emirati heritage house located in the Heart of Sharjah. Built in 1845, the traditional two-storey residence was once home to a prominent pearling family and provides an insight into the lifestyle, architecture and social traditions of Sharjah during the region’s pearling era.

The house is built around a central courtyard and features coral-stone walls, a grand entrance, carved decorative details and traditional barjeel wind catchers. Visitors can explore the different rooms of the residence while learning how traditional Gulf architecture provided natural ventilation and helped families adapt to the climate before modern air conditioning.

The museum also provides an opportunity to understand the daily routines, social customs and living conditions of a prosperous pearling family. Its location within the Heart of Sharjah places it close to other important heritage attractions, including Sharjah Heritage Museum, Al Eslah School Museum and Souq Al Arsa.
